The Palin Pattern- Gimme gimme gimme
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 05:26 AM by Mother Of Four
Need some help making a list please :) Got into a "dining table discussion" about Palin and her excesses.

Off the top of my head this is what I've come up with.

She is a CLASSIC example of a stereotypical wannabe, but instead of taking guys for everything they've got she takes from the voters.

Remodeling her office without approval in Wasilla
Per Diem pay for when she was at home
Taking the land for the complex in Wasilla before it was cleared, ending up paying 5 times what it was worth (Note, still in litigation)
Getting her children paid for on trips, and spending time in expensive hotels with them in NYC
Making the road to the bridge that never went anywhere, instead of rewriting the contract to fix the roads of the area.

Topping it off with the clothing expenses for her and her children, at the tune of 150,000 dollars.

Anything else added to this list would be appreciated, I had a request to bullet point them and send it to a couple R's that want to convince hubby's into voting Obama  At this point, with NC getting ready to turn blue- every vote counts.

Thanks in advance :hi:

1. I've said she (and Todd) regarded AK as their fiefdom, and hoped they'd remain isolated to live it
up unnoticed.

CORRUPT THROUGH and THROUGH.

2. differences between party attitudes
When Dems speak - they speak of "we". WE can do this, WE need to do that. It's a community "WE"

When Repubs speak - they speak of "me". What's in it for ME? What about ME? It's an individual "ME"

3. 25% of her appointments to government positions were friends, relatives, and donors.
The appointee was often unqualified for the position.

4. How can I put that in a way that makes them look in their wallet?

Would those appointments, because they are less qualified- end up costing people more money in the long run because they don't know what they are doing?

We (Myself and the other two ladies) discovered that in combination with the economy, the excesses in spending are what are really hitting home with the "menfolk"

5. Who built their house?
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 06:11 AM by central scrutinizer
It has been reported that her new $350,000 house was built by the same contractor that got the job to build the sports complex, but Toad claims that he built it himself.

8. Don't forget the Petro-bribe that every Alaskan gets
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 09:26 AM by central scrutinizer
The oil companies pay off the Alaskan government. Those payoffs are passed along to everybody else in the form of higher costs at the pump. Basically the lower forty-eight are funding socialism in Alaska. Of course this predates Fertilla the Huntress, but she did raise the ante so every Alaskan got an extra $1200 this year.

As well as the state money she used so that her family members could travel with her (without it being state business).

10. What about her hiring of an administrator when she was mayor?
She was forced to hire someone because she was unable to even do her job properly. She still got paid her full salary, and the tax payers were forced to pay for the salary of two people doing what should have been her job alone.

11. Great example-
Not only does it show money down the drain, but that she is SO inept that she had to hire someone to do her job
