Hillary has made over 65 campaign appearances for Obama/Biden.
I want to thank her very much. You've got style and class, Hill, and you're a Democrat through and through.

Hillary made her 65th campaign appearance for Sen. Barack Obama in Aurora, Colorado today. Also on hand: Gov. Bill Ritter, Sen. Ken Salazar and Reps. Diana DeGette and Ed Perlmutter.

2. I hope when Obama gives his victory speech, one of the first people he'll thank is Senator Clinton.
She has been tireless, dedicated, hard working in her stumping for Obama/Biden.

9. Safe to assume he'll give her due credit
I think that after he wins, they will be strong allies. They share goals, they've been through a lot together (!), she could be one of his trusted advisers - as he joked during one debate. This would be good for both of them and for the country as we have so much to fix.

5. now that obama looks to take it.... i hope hillary gets what she wants from here on out and
huge thank you to her. her convention speech hit me well. there were things she said and how she said that did soemthing special for me and that i appreciate. she has shown a lot more in last couple months than i would have ever given her credit for, and thank you for that. whether it is supreme court justice (i think would be nifty) or anything else, i hope she is well rewarded for her smart, what she has done, and who she is and what she offers all of us.

a thank you to hillary.

she wasn't the one who said that, was she?

Gergen confirmed Hillary's comments at the time about NAFTA.

The race-baiting never happened, and the claim that it did was a national disgrace.

I think the McCain campaign really put things into perspective. Hillary played on negative politics a little bit, McCain on the other hand has been downright disgusting beyond typical political BS.

16. She's earned my vote or support in the future.
I was not a Hillary supporter in the spring, and I will admit - my opinion of her has changed 180 degrees.

Hillary didn't seem authentic to me, and I now realize that I was looking at her through a crooked lense - she really does want to help and make the democratic party better.

I don't know if she will run in 2016 - but if she does, i'll be on the wagon to line up and volunteer.

Go Hillary!

25. Volunteering last night
I was given a "Hillary Sent Me" pin with the Obama symbol in the back. After the primaries, I never thought I would gladly accept and wear one. She's been amazing.

In retrospect, her campaigning helped Obama's campaign in the long run. We can say he was vetted more than any other candidate. Hillary gets my full approval from the moment she suspended her campaign on. I'm looking forward to what she does in the future.

Bill's said some crazy stuff, but he's out there. Both Clinton's get my whole hearted thank you!! Honestly, I can't imagine how hard it is for her to do what she's doing-thinking that it could have been her. The personal toll gets extra kudos from me.

She has done more for a former opponent than anyone else in previous elections and has made more appearances for Obama than any of his other surrogates combined.

So, I wish that this STFU all those who hated the Clintons during the primary in all the LW blogs like this one, KOS and HUff.

Hillary is a great person, anyone who knows her can assert it. I just hope that if she chooses to run in the future, the LW of the party doesn't boycott her once again.

Thanks also for the pic, it's one of my favorites.

37. So? 65 a magic number? Obama wins, it isn't cause of him, we got HRC to thank right?
I mean, he couldn't of won without her, right? This is a pathetic attempt to keep her in the spotlight, as if we owe her anything. All this BS like "I hope first person he thanks" blah blah blah. She isn't doing him a favour...it is her role to stump for the nominee. Anything else and it's sour grapes.

Could care less if it is 300. Her primary campaign revealed what type of person she is. If she's a democrat through-and-through, well then that makes sense...considering how awful the party has been lately - letting Bush and co. run amok.

43. My, my, still bitter?
Hillary could have just made some perfunctory appearances and be done with it. Her support DOES matter as she got half of the votes during the primary and more votes of registered Democrats than did Obama. If you really think that her support and Bill's wouldn't have mattered, then you are not being realistic. Many of her supporters would not have voted for Obama if she hadn't urged us so vehemently to do so.

I feel so guilty for the things I thought about her during the primaries. I understand now she was just fighting as hard as she could to win.

She was not 2 minutes in to her convention speech and had me in tears and loving this amazing, patriotic woman again. I donated to her campaign debt immediately after.

She now deserves all of our respect and gratitude!

Oh...and she did season Barack and make him a better and stronger candidate!

68. Apparently, Talk Left is.
I thought it was interesting. I know Hillary had campaigned, but I had no idea she had campaigned so much. I thought it was worth noting.

60. Too bad this hasn't been reported ,
I have heard very little about Hillary making appearances for Obama , I rarely see Joe Biden or Michelle Obama but McLame & Fallin are on all the time.

69. Every time somebody starts a thread like this, it reverts back into a Primary argument
Look, I appreciate EVERYTHING Hillary is doing. It goes without saying that we do.

So lets stop starting threads like these, please.

89. I will express appreciation toward any Dem helping the cause.
Including Hillary Clinton. This thread, at this point, has 89 responses, very few of which are negative or reverting back to "primary arguments". In all, it's quite a positive thread. Get over it.

HILLARY'S POPULARITY RATINGS GO NEGATIVE
By IAN BISHOP Post Correspondent

April 19, 2007

WASHINGTON - A new national poll shows Hillary Rodham Clinton's favorable ratings sinking like a stone, and her negatives soaring - a terrifying trend for a campaign desperately trying to convince voters she's not too polarizing to be president.

The new USA Today/Gallup survey shows Clinton's favorability rating shrunken to 45 percent - down 9 points from a similar poll taken last month, and a 13-point drop from a survey taken shortly after she announced her White House bid.

More troubling for her White House hopes, her unfavorable ratings have climbed 12 points since she entered the race, and now stand at 52 percent - meaning more Americans now dislike her than like her.

snip

The steady decline in favorability is exclusive to Clinton. Her rivals Barack Obama and John Edwards have bounced up and down in surveys over the past three months and have identical 52 percent approval - about where they started three months ago.

Clinton's skyrocketing negatives have wiped out her 19-point Democratic primary lead in a similar survey from earlier this month. Obama is now tight on her tail, 31 percent to 26 percent - within the poll's 5-point error margin.

I'm very impressed (and I was one of the people who were skeptical).

81. She has done more campaign events for Obama
than McCain has done for himself. She is a great American and a great Democrat. She helped to make Obama the candidate he is today. So many of the things she and Obama fought over during the primaries will never get traction now when McCain tries to stick them on Obama. It is all old news and no one wants to hear about it again. I have always had faith in her and I think she is an inspiration.

86. Thank you Hillary!
Name one other former primary opponent who has done what she has done? Big thank you for her for what she and President Clinton have done in Florida.

I stand amazed and very grateful to her for her work on Obama's behalf.
