I cannot wait until this shit is over!
I am tired of the ignorance, racism, violence, hell just flat out tired of hate! The religious hate mob has done everything they could to keep power, so they could continue on their path of destruction to this nation, and the world. The fundamentalist side of the republican party in my opinion is by far the most dangerous group in the world they are our version of al qaeda. They want Sarah Palin to begin armageddon. It's time to remove this group from the tax exempt list. If they want to play politics then they must pay taxes. Will these next 10 days be over already? I would like to follow the constitution again we are in dire need of getting back to separation of church and state. Gay marriage should've been nationalized yesterday. If you don't want an abortion don't have one, and yes guns should be limited to semi-automatics. No assault weapons. I used to be afraid atheist, but then I grew up. It turns out that the atheist are the most sane people on the planet, and I am a christian. Leave religion home!

2. I came a long way I was taught to hate and fear gays. My cousin helped me get passed that father is
still against gay marriage but he voted no on prop 8. Believe me that is a big deal.

10. I have just turned the TV off. I cannot stomach it anymore. I'll watch Obama via
internet and read DU (the positive posts), but I can't stomach the HATEFEST any longer.

I leave for California again in a few days, so thankfully I'll be spending election night in a BLUE STATE !

12. The fundies aren't the ones I worry about.
On their own they'd have very little power and zero ability to function effectively as a political base. It's the corporate neo-fascists that are the greater danger, IMO, and unfortunately they're always with us.

13. It's not going to be easy
The wingers are very busily poisoning the well. The letters in the local paper are disturbing. The anti-Obama people are scared out of their wits. The letters are disgusting, but the worst thing is that the writers really believe what they're saying.

Kindergartners will be talked into having gay sex. The flag will be replaced with the Muslim flag. Churches will be closed. Churches will be sued if they don't hire gay people. And on and on. We can laugh at it, but these people hear this all day on their talk shows and get this in the vile mailers being sent out by the right wing.

I was planning on leaving the country if Obama lost. Now that it looks like he's going to win, I'm thinking I still may do that. It's going to be pretty ugly now that violence and overt racism have been legitimized by the GOP.

14. Over? If Obama wins, it will just be beginning.
Right Wing Hate Radio will go into overdrive. Non-stop for four years about how Obama is eroding Christian moral values.. Radical Right Wing Evangelical Rapture-Ready Hordes will be holding midnight vigils, praying and paying for Armageddon.

A new crop of Tim McVeighs and Eric Rudolphs will be busy in their basements.

But..

Maybe Obama, leading by example, extolling some of the virtues taught by that man Jesus, will have a positive impact. We can only hope so.
