Palin allies blame McCain's camp for "a tarnished public image" -- "she'd like to go more rogue"!
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 12:29 PM by ClarkUSA
Another report of the ongoing circular firing squad melodrama afflicting the Republican ticket, this time from Palin advocates eager
to cast blame on McCain's advisors. Here's a delicious snippet (there's a lot more juicy detail in the rest of the Politico story):

Four Republicans close to Palin said she has decided increasingly to disregard the advice of the former Bush aides tasked
to handle her, creating occasionally tense situations as she travels the country with them. Those Palin supporters, inside
the campaign and out, said Palin blames her handlers for a botched rollout and a tarnished public image — even as
others in McCain's camp blame the pick of the relatively inexperienced Alaska governor, and her public performance,
for McCain's decline.

"She's lost confidence in most of the people on the plane," said a senior Republican who speaks to Palin, referring to her
campaign jet. He said Palin had begun to "go rogue" in some of her public pronouncements and decisions.

"I think she'd like to go more rogue," he said.

The emergence of a Palin faction comes as Republicans gird for a battle over the future of their party: Some see her as
a charismatic, hawkish conservative leader with the potential, still unrealized, to cross over to attract moderate voters.
Anger among Republicans who see Palin as a star and as a potential future leader has boiled over because, they say,
they see other senior McCain aides preparing to blame her in the event he is defeated.

Life is good.

15. Delicious Irony, ain't it?
This election started with the Republicans watching joyfully was they thought we were falling apart, and this election ends with them cannibalizing each other.

17. It's so obvious, isn't it? That explains all the time she's spending in Iowa.
Gotta nail down the fundie Iowa Republican party activists four years in advance. 2012 should be interesting, given Mitt Romney
and Mike Huckabee will not be going quietly into the dark night.

14. you betcha!

Let her start scripting her own speeches, and we'll see how long she lasts. She'll have her "macaca" moment pretty damn quick, and then she can follow George Allen and Bachman into obscurity.

I got to say that the former Bush aides did her no favors by not letting her speak to reporters but maybe they knew she was such an idiot that they were trying to control the damage. My God, McInsane's campaign is imploding fast.
