Where will you be when the historic call is made?
"We can now project that Barack Obama will be the 44th President of the United States"

Even though it seems trivial, I don't know where I want to be when the historic call is made.

I go to college so I was thinking about visiting home on election night( I already voted absentee). My dad was a big Obama doubter(but now supporter) from the beginning and I made a bet with him from the beginning that Obama would win. There would be nothing better than rubbing it in his face, and then watching what happens with my family

I also thought about going to New York City since I'm in close proximity and I'm sure there will be a great celebration in places like Times Square etc.

And my third possibly is spending it with fellow Obama supporters on campus.

Personally I can't decide, hopefully by election day I will.

So my question to you guys is how and where will you be spending your election night?

17. It is historic, and very special.
I will be at home with my family so we can put our flag out as soon as it is called for Obama. We already have our champagne for election night, and I will bake sweet potato pie on election day to go with the champagne to celebrate. We are all very fortunate to be a part of this very special moment in time.

I really wish I could go home for election day but it seems like it would be too much trouble since I have class the following morning. I like the flag idea :).

21. It might be so special that you want to go be at home.
You can always take a nap the next day :) And, your dad may really like the Flag idea as well ! There are many DUers who are putting the Flag out in honor of Obama. If you do go home, surprise them by bringing pie ! Obama loves pie !!!

20. I will be either at my Staging Location making calls to Nevada
or at the Brew Works. It all depends on how Indiana is called. If Indiana is called for Obama...I'm corking the Champagne and leaving my staging location at 7.

25. Grant Park, possibly.
Or else with friends at my favorite bar, the one that organized the trips to go canvassing in WI.

Either way, I'm sure I won't miss the fireworks. I thought they were subdued by Chicago standards around the 4th. They were saving them, I know it.
