WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama's lead over Republican rival John McCain has dropped to 5 points, according to a Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll released on Sunday.

Obama leads McCain by 49 percent to 44 percent among likely U.S. voters in the daily tracking poll, which has a margin of error of 2.9 points. Obama's lead has dropped over the last three days after hitting a high of 12 points on Thursday.

"Things are trending back for McCain. His numbers are rising and Obama's are dropping on a daily basis. There seems to be a direct correlation between this and McCain talking about the economy," pollster John Zogby said.

The whole article reads like it was written by the McCain camp. I guess ZOGBY was missing the links from Drudge.

3. This is good news for Obama.
It will prevent people from becoming complacent, and will bring even more people to the voting booth increasing the size of the landslide.

5. BS
The number TMP is reporting yesterday was Zogby: Obama 51%, McCain 42%. It changed that much in 1 day while 5 other polls are holding steady for Obama, or inching upward?

7. How....
Disappointing. "Obama's lead dropped..." SO disappointing. OK, Zogby might not be reliable...but why would Obama slip?

8. I believe they are subtracting people that have already voted
from their universe.

All of them are, I believe.

Expect them to tighten up since the TO in early voting has been overwelmingly democrat

But look at IBD that had Obama only up by 1 for a day. But now he has been trending up in that poll.

14. Note, Obama is still ahead even by zogby, who has been behind the other polls
Zogby has not been particularly accurate since 2000

Remember NH?

He said during the primary that Obama would win over Hillary in both New Hamshire and California

Again even according to zogby we are still ahead, and his conclusion that we are losing momentum is nonsense

16. Fuck Zogby! He's Nothing But A Tool For The Republicans!
Zogby thinks himself much too important with his fucked up polling. My opinion is that his polls are always skewed to show the republicans in a positive light. With all of the problems that McSame's campaign continues to have, I can't for the life of me believe that the old goatfucker is gaining ground anywhere. Wait a minute how, many people came out to see McGruff in NM today? 900 some people! How many came to see Obama today in NM? 25,000 plus. Hmmmmm!
