Returned Absentees in Cuyahoga County break out like so....
Remember, there are votes waiting to be counted.

This data is up to those returned on Friday.

Total returned 129,874
Total Dems reutrned 76,328
Total Republicans Returned 17,706
Total Independents Returned 12,600
Total New Voters Returned 23,240

Dems make up 58.8% of all returned filled out absentee ballots....

I have no links. This is my own calculations based on spreadsheets anyone can download at this site...

I have to take it out in shifts since Excell only allows so many records in any given data download...

1. Just out of curiousity, how do they know the party affiliation?
Do they base that on whether you voted in the primary? That part's always confused me... share the wisdom!!

2. It's all based on primary voting. The new voters are those who have
either never voted or have not voted since the last presidential general election.

Independents can vote in primaries if there are local issues involved.

4. Ahhh.
I don't think it'll amount to anything more than a blip, but remember, there were more than a few GOP crossovers in Ohio who voted in our Dem Primary in March, so their party ID might not be accurate.

Of course I think that was a way bigger problem down here in southwestern Ohio than your neck of the woods.

5. Obama and others were really busy making sure as many of the inner
city residents were registered and will vote.

Tomorrow, I guess today, they have gathered dozens of buses to take people down to the Board of Elections to vote right after church services

7. We had a terrific event here in Cincinnati a Thursday ago...
... called "Vote Early, Rock Late!" It was a free concert starring The National and The Breeders on Fountain Square. Place was packed. Board of Elections stayed open late that night, and buses were parked outside running shuttles of rock fans to rock their early vote!!

Damn this election is fun. :-)

3. That's amazing!
I'm lousy at figuring percentages, but even I can see the Democrats are way outperforming the Republicans!

And I'm sure there will be many more votes cast by the end of Nov.4th...

I am very encouraged that Ohio will go blue!
