Homer Simpson Diebold Clip Removed from YouTube by Fox
Edited on Sun Oct-26-08 02:03 AM by garybeck
A few weeks ago there was a great clip from the Simpsons on Youtube. I believe it hit #1 recs on DU at one point.

It showed Homer Simpson trying to vote on a Diebold voting machine.

He tries to vote for Obama and his vote is flipped to McCain.

This is now actually happening in at least 4 states, one example http://wvgazette.com/News/200810180251

I went to view the Homer Simpson video today and it had been removed from Youtube:

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation

I would note that there are several others Simpson clips on Youtube which Fox has allowed to remain.

the original Youtube URL was:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aBaX9GPSaQ

P.S.
I am unable to find a copy of the clip anywhere else. If anyone saved a copy it, please let me know.

ON EDIT:
Someone found it posted here:

5. It's not a conspiracy--that episode hasn't aired yet
Treehouse of Horrors, which that clip is from, doesn't air until Nov. 2nd.

8. They're leaked.
Don't read too much into it. It's impossible to find Simpsons clips because FOX forces 'em all down. Sometimes you luck out and come across one, but it's rare and if you do, generally it's those crazy Spanish ones.

9. here is a link - please mirror asap
http://www.eurweb.com/story/eur47565.cfm

Please copy it and host it yourselves before Fox forces it down.

The real version of course has Obama button directly below the Mccain button vs. side by side in the Simpson parody. if they were side by side and large like the cartoon we likely would not have a problem. This is really happening by ballot design.
