who will talk about a "tightening race" and McCain making a "eleventh-hour comeback." It is to their advantage to talk about the horse-race. As we know they spend more time discussing the horserace (polls, etc) than they do discussing real issues. They want to create excitement so that viewership will peak on election day. The bright spot for democrats is that hopefully those who may be more complacent will be propelled to do more.

Remember this there has not been a single poll where Obama has trailed since early September--when people were still dooey-eyed over the Palin selection. Polls may tighten but if they still show an Obama lead he should be fine, especially with early voting and registration figures which favor Dems, as well as Obama's GOTV efforts.

1. very good call
if they try to do this again, I say we run a major campaign to keep the media honest. The media has done enough damage to this country, it's time they are held accountable, and I don't give a damn what their reasons are for skewing nes, it's dishonest and it needs to be prevented from having such an effect on our democracy.

3. I watched that happen last night when a flawed Zogby poll came out at 1 AM
showing a 5 point Obama lead only....Freepers were going nuts. Of course, seems to be a bad poll that likely had some push polling....just the start. Going to be a wild ride to the end!

4. Say SPECFICALLY how much the polls will "tighten" and by WHAT DATE....
Else you're just making shit up that you can never be wrong about, like a wuss.

5. They may continue to try to push the "tight race" narrative
But nobody's going to buy it if most of the polls say something different. It hasn't worked the last two weeks when everytime the corporate media talked about a "tight race" the polls only showed Obama gaining, particularly in state polls.
