I saw her in the part of the Brian Willims interview where she was speaking by herself (without her minder McCain), and had the unattractive thought myself that she looked a bit ragged and older - there were circles not all that well concealed under her eyes, her skin was dried out, and the her laugh lines/wrinkles looked a bit deep. She looked a bit aged (speaking here as someone approaching 51, and well aware that we just don't stay young and wide awake looking forever!) around her edges. It is the point where if you don't get enough sleep, you figure out why they call it "beauty rest" - a lack thereof translates straight to your looks and not for the best.
Right then I thought - she won't be around for 2012, because she will be close enough to 50 that she will start not looking so hot. I've seen her other family members, like her cousin Dianne, the now mayor of Wasilla, and others, and none of them age particularly well. I guess this is a just live by the sword, die by the sword kind of deal. Some of her supporters, even high up repubs, mention one of her prime qualifications is that she is good looking, "attractive".
Once that goes, then all they will have is someone who looks old like their moms, not "hot" like eye candy should be. And with no real ideas, and world salad statements, it won't be enough for them to keep her as the promise of their party future. Botox, makeup artists and tanning beds will only produce a better packaged "older woman" look, which will make the geezers wither at the sight.
Like a cheerleader that traded only on her looks, winks, tanning bed, suggestive gestures and knee high leather boots, only to find that doing that as an older woman just doesn't make her boys happy anymore.
Those people are that shallow. Sarah Palin will be too old to run in 2012, even though she will only be 48 years young, because she sn't hot anymore. If not by then, she definitely will look old by 2016. What a sad world it is in which those people live.
