--Palm Beach County Elections Office--West Palm Beach--Weekend Turnout--
I just happened to be out and about a few minutes ago, so I went by the PBC elec office, which is the only location in my immediate area. Sorry for the pix in advance, but I had nothing but my cell, which is an older phone. There were about 300 people in line, and this was at 1:24, so just a half hour before they close.

I turned into the parking lot, and watched for about 5 minutes, and the line was moving along quite nicely. The mood there was very upbeat, Obama has a tent set up outside, and many people on the streets with CHANGE signs! Here are a coule of pix of the line, the green arrow is where the entrance to the building is, and the yellow is where the line starts. As you can see, it's a shitty day here, but people are showing up.

Oh, and this bonus pic, at the entrance to the parking lot;

There were NO mccain things anywhere that I could see.

:-)

2. I'm going to go on Wednesday, I think it will be easy that day.
Probably between 10:00-10:30....I bet my wait will be anout an hour. But today, the line kept moving, so that's a good thing.

3. thanks for the pictures!
It's good to hear that the line was moving; I'd heard on the news that waits were pretty long. But wait... West Palm Beach... is that a mostly Republican area? If it is, I'm not surprised that things are running efficiently.

Anyway, thank you!

5. Palm Beach County, contrary to the flip-flap in 2000, is VERY Democratic!
Edited on Sun Oct-26-08 02:13 PM by remember2000forever
If only they had counted our votes back then. The Repugs knew in advance what the result would have been. An overwhelming Gore victory! Palm Beach County got a bad rap back in 2000. Theresa Lapore, our then, Supervisor of Elections, paid dearly for those butterfly ballots, and our country paid even more. The whole thing was a Giant Cluster-F***
