Post your state and what Obama and McCain ads you've seen there ... (poll)
I'm in Mississippi, and the only ad I've seen is the Obama ad where McCain admits to having voted with Bush over 90% of the time. This one is played occasionally on national news and sports broadcasts.

No McCain or 527 ads that I've seen. What about your state?

4. I'm in Wisconsin
We've seen most of them, but these days, it's almost exclusively Obama's "I am not George Bush" ad. McCain is no longer anywhere to be seen on the air.

Right. Wisconsin here also - as you said - pretty much all of them,
and now that you mention it - I haven't seen a McCain ad in quite awhile.

5. I'm in Ohio. I watch mostly cable news channels.
Edited on Sun Oct-26-08 01:34 PM by Connie_Corleone
The only ads I've seen this week are Obama's ads about McCain voting with Bush 90% of the time and one about supporting the 2nd amendment.

I'm sure McCain's ads are showing on the local channels, but I don't watch those channels that often.

6. I'm in Nevada
I've seen countless ads from both sides. To the point where I quit paying attention to them weeks ago.

7. CA
I too have been seeing the Obama ad where McCain admits to having voted with Bush over 90% of the time. It's been playing quite frequently on several different networks. No McCain ads that I can recall in recent days...

9. I guess I get the cake on this
Florida - We have both Obama and McCain ads.

Obama has aired 2 Minute and 1 minute spots. Both beautifully done. Obama is outspending McCain 3 to 1 here (I work in TV sales, so I see the numbers).

McCain is only airing his negative Joe the Plumber ads and that hideous new one with Joe Biden's words. The RNC is also spending money as well as the Republican Jewish Committee (I'm assuming that is a 527 ad). The RNC has purchased a spot to air before Obama's 1/2 hour ad on Wednesday.

11. Michigan, not many McShit ads here, think I saw 1 527 ad about Obama
7 or 8 days ago, mostly it was about Ayers. About the only thing being pushed here is the say no to stem cell research, full of Michigan can't afford the tax increase stem cell research will bring to the state. Even though that lie has been debunked. But then I pretty much watch sci fi or the movie stations so I don't see much ads. I stopped watching local news in 2004 and the cable news sucks so why bother?

12. Yeah, the no on stem research ads suck
Sadly, they seem to have worked since support has dropped. Hopefully people will vote Yes. I've also been seeing a lot for Supreme Court too. Glad people started going after Justice Taylor.

As far as McCain ads, I can't remember seeing one off the top of my head. Still plenty of Obama ads. There's one I think might be a Michigan only ad with Obama giving a speech talking about the 400,000 jobs Michigan has lost.

15. Those stem cell ads are some of the sleaziest I've seen.
Have you seen the one where they compare stem cell research to Nazi medical experiments?Really over the top.The republicans are hoping their base gets fired up over it. I've seen the 527 ad against Obama twice today, both times on CNN.

14. NE Florida and the empty chair...
It's supposed to be about "lack of executive experience" I'm sure but it came off to me as lack of presidential experience which would include ANYONE who's never been president....one could argue that those are the same thing, but not really. And many people in NE FL aren't particularly good at digging through the minutiae of deep thought to get a message. I don't see how this one is particularly effective here, but what do I know? Oh, I know....Obama is going to win!!!!!!
