15. From the great atlantic ocean
to the wide pacific shore
from the green o'erflowing mountains
to the southbound by the moor
she's mighty tall and handsome
and quite well known by all
She's a regular combination, the Wabash cannonball

16. There it is.
If we can grab Indiana from the Republicans, we're going to do well in Missouri, too.

3. Indeed.
I think we're going to win, and I want it over to be sure.

But on another level, the trends going the way they seem to be going, if we just had another month we'd be winning in Georgia, Arizona, Arkansas and Alaska.

As well as Indiana.

(seriously)

4. Do the Indiana polls close 30 minutes before anyone else?
I can never keep track of their times. It would be a great start to election night.

8. 7PM Eastern.
At least according to this: http://www.270towin.com/closing.php

Interestingly, Virginia closes at 7 too. If VA and IN are called quickly, it may be a very early night.

12. Polls close at 6 p.m. Eastern
except in the parts of the state that are on central time (which includes the vital Lake County) where they close at 6 pm central time.

13. Most of Indiana is on Eastern Daylight time now
Only upper NW (Chicago area) and lower SW (Evansville) are on Central time. We no longer have three different time zones - no Standard Time. I grudgingly credit our Governor for that.

This means that most of our polls will close with New York, and the two small areas close when St. Louis does.

Does that help?

14. I think that is one of many reasons!
Hoosiers love Dave and his mama!

I actually think another reason is that McCain hasn't set foot here in awhile - only Palin.

People are noticing that.
