What channel to watch on election night? Who'll have the most numbers
and the fewest talking heads telling me what to think about the numbers?

In '04 I just flipped around all evening, but it wasn't very satisfying (even given the outcome).

Whatta y'all think?

19. Comedy Central will give us all a laugh. We need like a puppy bowl in the middle of the night
or something to soothe us. Nothing adds calm to me like puppies fighting over a football.

15. That would have been my guess. But in '04 they didn't appear to be
covering the elections at all - taped programming, if I remember right. I almost wonder if I had the wrong channel, but I dodn't think I did.

Same with our PBS stations. I guess election coverage is a big enough production that not everyone can do it.

14. I'm leaning to MSNBC, Keith, Rachel & even Matthews should be
interesting. Chris was such a hoot when the Dems took control of the Congress in 2006! I can't wait to see a repeat when the Dems take 60 Senate seats and a super majority in the House! Chris gets sooooo excited and crazy!

16. I know I'll get hated for this, but I just really like the way CNN presents their election results.
Before they call a state they wait until they are SURE. I love the exciting feeling you get from seeing the program pundits standing and walking around. I love the giant screen behind Wolf as they count down and then do that splash before telling you if the state is too close to call or not.

I will flip around to other channels. I like MSNBC's commentary because Chris Matthews is one of my favorite commentators, and I will watch some of their channel to see what Matthews is saying about the results. But as the states come in... I like to have it tuned to CNN to see the actual numbers.

I may, also, check out FOX just so I can see their meltdown. I try to avoid schaudenfreuda but... damn... it would be sweet to flip over there and see the look on their faces.

26. David Gregory will be anchoring for MSNBC...hand me a barf bag!
He's such a McCain shill. If Obama wins, he's almost guaranteed to poo-poo it and say, "why didn't Obama win by 20%?"

I will say this...Fox projects winners faster than any other network, while CNN is the slowest. I've noticed that. I'll probably just watch the regular NBC or CNN.
