I just saw the news on a local Madison TV channel. I'm sure lots of Repugs signed on. Let's sniff out the rats.

3. Why? Anybody's allowed to sign, right? No obligation to vote.
I've signed a lot of these kind of petitions in the belief anyone should be allowed on the ballot. I was quite naive.

Piss your vote away...you're allowed to be as stupid as you want.

Just don't bitch if Chimpy wins and we have an even more fucked up country.

9. It's not hard to get on the ballot here in WI
I think this guy is going to be on the ballot this year in Wisconsin as well:

There will probably be 10 or more candidates if it's anything like previous elections.

Nader doesn't have the Green party behind him in WI, so he's probably going to do worse than the 2-3% he got last time. IIRC, he was polling at about 5-6% before the 2000 election, and ended up with about half that.

From: StopNader.com
Subject: Project Petition Watch

As you know, Ralph Nader has been receiving significant Republican support, in terms of campaign donations and Republican volunteers who've been gathering illegitimate petition signatures on
his behalf. (Link: http://www.stopnader.com/news.asp?NewsID=25 ) As if
that weren't enough of a conflict of interest, Nader has even gone so
far as to contract with a well-known conservative political consulting firm. (Link: http://www.stopnader.com/news.asp?NewsID=31 )

Current polls show Bush edging out Kerry or running neck and neck in many states. We can't afford to allow Nader to swing the election in Bush's favor again.

StopNader.com fighting back in key states has been successful
in keeping Nader off the Arizona and Missouri ballots. (Link:
http://www.stopnader.com/latest_news.asp ) We're currently working on
a critical project to verify Nader's Wisconsin and New Mexico
petitions. (Link: http://www.stopnader.com/news.asp?NewsID=32 )

We need your help! In the spirit of getting Bush out of office, we
need a team of 40-50 volunteers to work with us on "Project Petition
Watch."

We have just three weeks to organize, divide and conquer. Contact us at info@StopNader.Com and we'll include you in our upcoming conference call to explain exactly what you can do to work with us on this very important project. It's easy and you don't need to be local to help. You can make the difference!

you can help here====> http://www.stopnader.com/help.asp

Together, we can do this!

11. They only needed 2000 signatures?
that seems like an awfully low number in a state of 5 million.

I thought it was low too... I think it's a good thing (as per the Fightin' Bob LaFollette tradition), but this makes me nervous.

Kerry could stop by personally at the brat feed and say what he stands for and personally answer their questions and some people would STILL say he said "nothing".

Blame it on bad weed, a short attention span and political stupidity.

13. Nader is a YoYo... Fergit the idiot.
Any votes he gets were lost anyway. So forget the moron, he's not worth worrying our pretty heads over.

Now repeat after me...

I will forget Nader
I will forget Nader
I will forget Nader
I will forget Nader
I will forget Nader
I will forget Nader
I will forget Nader

See, it's all better

14. Nader is a joke
He actually had the respect of many people in 2000. Now he is nothing but a vain peacock, more enamored with his pretty tailfeathers than the truth that the only people who support him are extreme, myopic purists and user Repukes.

16. This Morning Wisconsin Public Radio Poll...
Don't know if this means something, but was listening into the Ideas Network that covers the entire state. The host opened the phone for an hour, gave each caller 30 seconds to state their preference.

The result of the poll:

Kerry: 49
* 19
Nader: 5
Kohn(?): 1

The Nader callers used the typical "Pepsi/Coke" jag...and some sounded more liberatarian and lost Bunnypants voters than Kerry.

I attended a wedding near West Bend and saw lots of Kerry signs on cars and yards thoughout the area...and a couple of defaced Bunnypants/Dickhead ones.

Our cruise took us through Milwaukee & Madison, and I regularly check out radio talk shows I can get here and I feel very confident Wisconsin will come through for Kerry in big way...and the same goes for Minnesota & Iowa.

There are a lot of hurting people in these states and they can't wait to take it out on whose made their lives miserable.

Nader will not be a factor.

I was the guy who acted like Dr. Strangelove and voted for Bush-Cheney (the monitor would not allow me to just vote for Cheney) where I said something to the effect:

Hans from Sun Prairie: "Yes (hmmmmpt!) Bush Cheney because I love the Project For a New American Century and think that women should be barefoot and pregnant....(then cut off)

It was in the middle of the second half-hour.
http://clipcast.wpr.org:8080/ramgen/wpr/jca/jca040907a.rm

Scoot the playback to around 25:30. It's pretty quick.

I voted for them only because a few others voted for Kerry "because he would raise taxes and not support the troops..."

BTW, My name is not Hans and I don't live in Sun Prairie.

20. Nader off VA ballot! Lots of bad signatures. What a slime!!!
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 02:37 AM by autorank
Despite efforts of our corrupt Attorney General (Repig), Nader is off the VA ballot. A review of his signature showed over 50% were invalid because the signatories were f**king out of state residents. Wish you well in WI. VA TRUE BLUE IN '04.
