If someone else posted this already I apologize for making a dupe, but this seems odd...

maybe Kerry should throw in the towel on Ohio and concentrate on shoring up PA and stealing Missouri or Florida...

If we lose Ohio but pick up Florida, all other states remaining in the same camps in 2000, we win. In fact, if we pick up New Hampshire (which is bound to happen) and then, say, Arkansas, Missouri, Arizona, or Colorado, we won't need either one.

I believe in curses! :)

Fortunately, I can't believe Bush will win Ohio, not after what that State has been through with all the jobs lost. I just can't believe it.

even though the coastal areas (except for San Diego, which is a mixed bag) is as Democratic as it gets. Also, "weak" is when you're leading by 5-10 percent, and according to this poll Kerry has California by 8. I'm not sure about CT though, and finding a Republican north of Cherry Hill isn't easy in New Jersey. Could be that post-convention fluff over there. As I said though, OH's polling is the odd one.

Per Columbus Dispatch Poll...And we've suffered two major plant closings in the last week...one in Columbus, and another in Ashtabula.

I know that where I live (Cleveland) it is pretty liberal, and I see a lot more support of Kerry. I have heard people from southern Ohio, who tend to be more to the right, that are supporting Kerry. Even in Cincinnati there seems to be a lot of Kerry supporters.
It just seems to be a little bit of a stretch to say Ohio is strongly bush.

Ohio has some of the most unemployed towns in the nation like Youngstown.

Problem is the economic policys of Edwards never matched the rhetoric that made him so promising.


That is the root of the problem.That is THE PROBLEM.

That said , I still think there are too many Bush states teetering on the edge of going Kerry. The election was and is Kerrys to loose. Bush can loose Nevada and still win a 269-269 tie but Missouri , Florida , and Colorado are also tied.

Bush can loose Colordao (odds are 50.5% that he will take it though) and perhaps make up for it by taking Wisconsin (another opening the Edwards selection gave to Bush). Missouri is a state Bush can hold (again thanks to the Edwards selection)and Ill predict he will win it very narrowly.

That still leaves Florida for Bush to hold.

I just dont see us handing him what he needs but we have done a good job giving him an outside shot.

But once we get the "final solution" (ousting Bush) then the question becomes "then what" . What foreign and domestic policys will follow our obsessive cleansing of the white house and installing Bush's opponent? Thats what my eye is on:policys. I have a real bad feeling our "then what" is about as well thought out as Hitlers (not that Im comparing the 2 at all , apples and oranges for certain)plan once the world was only left with blone haired people. Left with the same problems of the world and no higher quality of people to solve them. Though in poor tastes to mention Hitler , its a fair comparison as all I seem to hear (and ultimatly discuss myself so Im just as guilty)on left leaning blogs and discussion sites is the obsession to get rid of Bush , and hardly any issue examinations, literaly NONE.

Regardless , hopefully the population will see the wisdom in voting "against Bush" because they sure dont seem to see anything compelling them to vote for Kerry and Edwards. Frankly Ive noticed Edwards sounds even smug and yaking lately the few times I have listned to him for some minutes. I do look forward to his debating Chenny. One will come out looking real bad, it wont be a wash. Im beginning to think it might actualy be Edwards.

I used to talk about polls endlessly now I cant help but be fatigued at the endless poll discussion. I cared about polls because it had canidates that promised some real issue differences as the context ( at times anyway). Now I think Im just out of my league and worrying about the 6 figure $$$ salary, egotistical, chess board staring, overpaid , out of touch , pollsters game and not MY GAME which is no game but actual policys.

From now on , I pray we obsess over issues first as thats what is supposed to come before elections. Now its all "elections firt" then worry about "issues later".

All of the undecided states are Bush states. If Kerry takes Nevada, he is one point short. :scared:

Anyone whose been following knows how this map has gone from overwhelming Kerry two weeks ago to what you're seeing now. Actually this is better than a couple days ago...with the skewed Gallup and Strategic Vision polls.

Ohio...Kerry has lost ground, but I hope that only makes Ohio DU'ers work even harder. I suspect we're seeing a lot of reaction from the southern rural areas. In a good sign, W. Va. that was solid * in the last poll is slipping in our direction.

I see NJ is chafing from the McGreevy stuff and Tennesee has swung solid Bunnypants, but the rest of the map looks pretty good. I don't see a Bunnypants lead in any of the Gore 2000 states and I think the corner is turned...the * peak has been reached and it's all downhill from here.

Real promising are the leads I see now in Oregon, New Mexico & New Hampshire...and I suspect we'll see Wisconsin, Iowa & Minnesota stay solid blue in the near future. For Democrats, this race is boiling down to taking either Ohio, Missouri, Florida (yep, we can do it, kids) and/or Tennessee...any of these states and Bunnypants goes packing. Meanwhile, the regime has to make up for the loss of New Hampshire & Nevada and spread resources in states like Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arizona & Colorado...places that weren't on the Rove map 6 months ago.

ALL I see and hear is people losing their homes, losing everything, on food lines, destitute, and now it's strong *????
