Albright has been representing Kerry well
I saw her twice recently on TV, very very effective laying out the differences between Bush and Kerry on Iraq, in particular regarding Bush's intention to set up bases there, which I don't recall being discussed on TV before.

This is coming from someone who is not a huge fan of Madeline Albright, just the opposite.

1. On the News Hour she was great - Kissenger weak
I love that secret look of amusement she had when listening to Kissenger.

She was articulate and coherent and Kissenger was near floundering - by the end of the debate he had all but endorsed the Kerry position.

3. Kissinger was barely understandable
he started off with a couple of half-hearted talking points straight out of the RNC convention, and then just wandered off into gibberish.

6. Kissinger (who opposed this war) was flip flopping over Iraq.
He was laughable. Him trying to spin is an utter joke.

2. I saw her interviewed by Matt Lauer this AM
and was under-impressed. I thought she might have been more concise in her answers on why Kerry opposed military action in Iraq under Bushie terms. However, I admit my expectations might be too high. I am looking for Kerry to get that misunderstading cleared up with a sound-bitish answer.

5. Actually it was Katie-Lauer interviewed Powell
No I didn't think she was that impressive (seriously get two lines and repeat them) but of course "our" Ms. Couric said at least twice in a row to different questions "BUT Senator Kerry Authorized the war!"

On a side note-Ann Currie seem rather dour about having to report the 1,000th death in Iraq, I guess her "USA! USA!" cheerleading thing on the USS Abraham Licoln didn't work out like she thought. A sad day in American TV "journalism".

I shouldn't try to report on things I watch while still laying in bed with my eyes half open. :spank:

Yes, Katie was pathetic in her whoring for the Bush team. I would've thought F-9/11 would've shamed her into being a smidgen professional.

Ann Curie? worthless. I do, however love what I perceive as a real tension between her and Matt - he clearly thinks she is a ditz and she clearly (like me) loathes him.

Maddie - yep, she need two strong sentences - its a no-brainer. If she wants to intellectualize it as she does, she needs to present what is a very defensible postition much better articulated. I expect more from her.
