Gay Republican Group Won't Endorse Bush

Wed Sep 8, 7:09 AM ET Add Politics - Reuters to My Yahoo!

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Leaders of the largest group for gay men and lesbians in the Republican Party voted overwhelmingly against endorsing President Bush (news - web sites) for re-election because he favors a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, The New York Times said on Wednesday.

1. I'd expect that Bush is pleased by this.

He doesn't want his far-right base seeing him as friendly w/ such people.

4. Again I repeat....Do you think that maybe the LCRs would get a clue that..
...it is a lot easier to promote fiscal responsibility (which we basically have the market cornered on lately anyway) within the democratic party than trying to promote tolerance within the republican party.

Guess they never heard about the path of least resistance.

5. The day they break ties completely with the republican party is the...
day they get an ounce of respect in my books.

Until then, they're still republicans, regardless of their presidential vote. They are enabling a political party which shits on the rest of us.

They're the ugly stepchildren of the right-wing... just gluttons for punishment.

Their vote carries little weight.

7. GOP Issues...all a damn Lie...
Are the LogCabin citizens finally taking their blinders off?

Republican positions on what it has called "issues that bring us together: lower taxes, strong national defense, personal responsibility and a commitment to individual liberty."

GOP has separated the country and the world.
Lower taxes, not for Log Cabin citizens unless they're millionaires.

Strong National Defense, fighting the wrong war, isolating our nation, running the biggest debt on earth, that is NOT Strong National Defense.

Personal responsibility...yea, Long Cabin citizens looking for jobs and no jobs to be found...I'm taking personal responsibility, I'm looking for a job to feed my family.

Individual Liberty...well..with the kkristian right (all wrong) making liberty policies for citizens..spying under the sheets...Log Cabin citizens are really foked up by the GOP...we say this, but we do this mentality.
