Electoral-vote.com has Kerry up again.
Make sure to read the entire bottom bit, good reading. I don't agree with the results (yet again, I think Kerry is up more than polls give him credit for) but at least trends appear to be showing Bush to lose his momentum.

1. See his comment on Zogby...
"In 2000, Zogby was the most accurate pollster and the only one to predict Gore would win the popular vote. But the thing that makes me most confident of Zogby is that he is the Wall St Journal's house pollster. The WSJ is not some wacko leftist organization whose goal is to make Kerry look good. They are paying good money for Zogby's services (traditional polls cost around $15,000 per state but obviously the WSJ buys so many polls that they get a very large discount) and are staking their reputation as a newspaper on his results. To me, having a conservative Republican newspaper like the WSJ choose Zogby over all his competitors speaks volumes about his accuracy and professionalism."

3. Blowback from over gaming
The negative anti-Kerry ads were already slipping when the Bush Convention slid into the hole with its intention to heighten and use the negativity. Long range damage might be worse with tying Bush so closely to the failing negative campaign. Very much worse in fact if Kerry does his job well.

Bush's positive fluff is so unsubstantial as to blow away and clinging to negative attacks, encouraged by the media, is just another self made trap with a dead end containing a poll hole.

By the way, Bush campaigning constantly in the Battleground states is very unlike the easy unchallenged fluffy flurry in 2002. As in 2000, Bush has plenty of opportunity to gaffe and slip and lose it in general. I am betting they will start strategic retreats to the Rose Garden, but for the past year that has been a worthless strategy, full of thorns.

Take a vacation George. Not too soon to enjoy it and right now there is temporary protection from investigations.

4. There are several Electoral Vote sites that are avoiding
using data from pollsters who are politically slanted. Or weighting them differently in making their predictions. THe Hedgehog Report was notoriously slanted towards Bush, and gave more weight to polls done by Fox, or Strategic Vision. While Electoral Vote.com, and National Journal calculations throw out polls that seem to have a vested interest in having polls show certain results.

Today's has Missouri curiously going from "Tied" to "Strong Bush"...I I'll take Zogby anyday.
