Gay Republican Group Won't Endorse Bush
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Leaders of the largest group for gay men and lesbians in the Republican Party voted overwhelmingly against endorsing President Bush (news - web sites) for re-election because he favors a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, The New York Times said on Wednesday.

The board of the Log Cabin Republicans (news - web sites) voted 22-2 on Tuesday night against endorsing Bush, the newspaper said, citing a spokesman for the group.

Log Cabin in 2000 endorsed Bush against Democrat Al Gore (news - web sites), and in 1996 endorsed Republican Bob Dole against incumbent Democrat Bill Clinton (news - web sites).

3. I guess the Repugs intolerance
finally had some resonance when it was directed at them. Some things do matter more, it seems, than one's wallet.

7. Along the lines of
"And when they came for me there was no one left to speak"

It is heartening to hear about more and more republicans speaking up and against this Idiot Disaster Monkeys ideals and the direction he's trying to go with our country.
I give em 2 thumbs up for that:thumbsup::thumbsup:

6. So the LCR's didn't endorse Shrubya...
I'm sure that Rove, Ashcroft, Gillespe, and Shrubbie himself are overly concerned...

Like I've said before... why the hell would you stay at a dinner party where you knew you weren't welcome? Screw the LCR's...
