8:01 Eastern on Tuesday!
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 07:36 PM by Laura PackYourBags
PA Polls close at 8pm Eastern. If he's already projected as VA winner at 7:01 Eastern,
and we win PA there's no way we can lose from that point.

Barack Obama will be the 44th President of the United States!

1. If they call Virginia for Barack between 7 and 8 it's all over
You can watch the Congressional results but if he wins Virginia the rout is on.

3. That is what I am watching.
As soon as VA is called for Obama, which I think it will be, I will pop the cork.

7. That's right
Still, I might wait until he goes over 270 - remember 2000.

I think VA is key though. That's why he ends the campaign in VA and NC.

2. The networks are not going to call PA at 8:01...
It will be at least 9. And VA might not get called for a while either.

We'll know during the 9:00 hour, but the networks won't call it until CA, OR and WA put Obama over the top.

4. It's going to take a looong time to call these states
States that went for Bush and Kerry by 10+ points weren't called immediately.

6. I don't think they're going to call any states
until the polls on the West Coast close. Isn't that what they did the last time?
