Overheard conversations from the antique show at local mall this morning...
I was roaming the booths, looking for the right dealers who might be interested in some items I had for sale, and as always, had fun listening to the conversations between dealers, between dealers and potential customers, and between customers as they walked around or sat to take a break. I heard a LOT of political conversation today, not surprisingly...
My favorite exchange was between a couple of dealers:

"So, you vote yet?"
"No, been on the road and haven't had a chance yet, but I'll be at the polls first thing Tuesday morning!"
"You voting for Obama?"
"Hell yes! McCain's just...well, he's just...I dunno, he's just...I can't vote for him."
"I hear ya...there's just something not right about that man. We need something different."
"We need someone SMART. And someone who can help with this health care thing. I dunno, that tax credit thing McCain talks about...I mean, c'mon! Who the hell can get insurance for five grand a year??? I mean, c'mon!"

I applauded them both as I walked by with my Obama t-shirt on and my four Obama buttons on my purse, and my one Obama button on my hat
:-)
