McCain in Blountville, TN on Monday
http://www.johnmccain.com/calendar/

On Election eve, he's going to make a stop in east Tennessee. Huh?

2. There isn't even a Senate seat up or anything in TN. Odd. Bad internal polling numbers, I guess.

One is congressional and the other is state rep that's been getting uglier with each passing day.

19. Alexander's seat must be seen as safe because I haven't heard a peep about that one.
Hmmmmm. Strange or else they've got some bad numbers.

20. This area is very red and hard for any Dem to win...
If we do get a Dem win with any of the races I will be very surprised. The repukes here have been playing very dirty with underhanded campaign tactics and robocalls.

15. Lamar Alexander is, but his seat is pretty safe....
We've also got a congressional race and a state rep race that's gotten pretty ugly.

"Moving swiftly" where?

One of these isn't true.

A McCain campaign "memo" released last night:

Iowa - Our numbers in Iowa have seen a tremendous surge in the past 10 days. We took Obama's lead from the double digits to a very close race. That is why you see Barack Obama visiting the state in the final days, trying to stem his losses. It is too little, too late. Like many other Midwestern states, Iowa is moving swiftly into McCain's column

The Des Moines Register:

Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has strengthened his advantage in The Des Moines Register's Iowa Poll, establishing a commanding lead over Republican John McCain heading into Tuesday's election.

Obama has widened what was a solid lead in the Midwestern swing state, and has strengthened his position on key leadership traits since the Register's September poll. Meanwhile, support for McCain and perceptions of his abilities have slipped despite several campaign appearances in the state this fall.

Obama, an Illinois senator, was the choice of 54 percent of likely voters, while McCain, an Arizona senator, was the choice of 37 percent.

The poll of 814 likely voters, taken Tuesday through Friday by Selzer & Co., came at the close of a key stretch of the fall campaign. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.

Should we rsvp for tickets and then not use them? Less people to show up. Could go and hold up our Obama signs.
