80% of UNLIKELY voters go to OBAMA!!
get that? The pollsters are dealing with "probabilities" when they show "likely voters". Normally that works.

BUT NOT in a MOVEMENT campaign. Not with the GARGANTUAN get out the vote effort of Obama.

The tsunami of new voters will wash the GOP away and it will be ugly.

3. Isn't it? There's a retired gentleman right across the street from me.
In all the elections we've worked here, I've never seen a single sign from him that he is into it at all. He doesn't like me to ring his doorbell with a political pitch so, when we meet, we talk about other things.

His was the first Obama sign that went up on this block. :)

4. yes but he isn't undecided

I think that we are going to be surprised but because McCain and undecideds are not going to show up in full numbers, while the Obama voters couldn't be stopped by marauding vampires.

5. exactly. many LIKELY voters (typically older and Republican)
may not even bother. ESPECIALLY out west whent they see how bad things are going for McCain back east.

Which is why it is so great much of the Atlantic Coast is either solidly ahead for Obama or too close to call.

in the six years we've been neighbors. Maybe I'm not understanding the category.

8. you understood correctly. UNLIKELY not the same as UNDECIDED
any person who just registered this year and has never voted before is DEFINITELY "unlikely" according to most pollsters who weight their raw data.

6. I was at a costume ball last night, and my impression
was that undecideds are going to go with the flow, meaning, give up and just go ahead and vote for Obama. Talked to one guy voting for Obama, his wife was undecided, but she tells me she will probably vote for Obama. Who doesn't want to be on the Winning team?

Tsunami? perhaps. Coat tails? certainly.

(Hey, I just got a phone call from Obama, my first.)

9. I think so. Undecideds will go with "leader" or stay home
very few will be motivated enough to go vote for a scatterbrained candidate with an unclear message.

10. That's What CO Papers Say
about "unaffiliated" here. Gawd I hate talking to those people - whiny, undecided on much more than the election, rude, they think they are "special" for being indecisive.

12. The Passion Factor
People who are inclined to vote for Obama would cross Mt. Everest to vote for him, and that's simply not true of people who would vote for McClown.

13. you are right. MOTIVATION
I've never seen such enthusiasm about canvassing, phone banking, etc. etc. since Clinton or before. This is a great sign.

14. McCain voters may find themselves standing for hours in line on Tues to vote.
This amuses me. They will be the ones that look like they are sucking on Lemon drops.
