I'm a lifelong political junkie. By now, I'm usually a complete mess, analyzing every poll, counting and recounting electoral votes, looking at every angle, every article, every talking head opinion piece.

Not this time. Why? Because we're going to win.

We're going to win the presidency. We're going to pick up seats in the Senate, putting us in the high 50s. We're going to pick up a couple dozen House seats.

Works for me. Nothing to panic about or freak out over, as far as I'm concerned.

Heck, even the AP has Obama at 286 electoral votes: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27488202/

1. For many people, I think it's their first time at the rodeo...
...I know *I* wasn't paying this level attention in 2004. And I was a dumbass college freshman in 2000.

If you've been around longer, you probably know better than to get hysterical about a 6 point lead in the national polls the Sunday going into the race.

2. You're not the only one feeling it.
We're not only going to win, but win big.

5. I wish I could agree.
I don't put anything past our stupid electorate and I don't ever feel comfortable running against the Republican slime machine.

I won't be comfortable until

6. I believe that McCain is making small gains.
It would be impossible for him not to at this point, because his support hit a cellar in every respect a short while back.

So he had nowhere to go but up--and he has. No one expected we'd win Pennsylvania by 13 points--it's just demographically close, and I think we have the right to be impressed if Obama wins the state by 5 or 6 points.

If there was another month in this race, I might be nervous about the small gains McCain has made. But 48 hours till the election? No way, Jose.

9. You're absolutely certain the last minute attack ads & robo calls won't work?
I don't know how "mainstream" Americans think so I just need reassurance sometimes.

13. Absolutely certain? No.

Very close to absolutely certain? Yes.

Even if the popular vote tightens, as many are suggesting it will, I just don't think it's possible for McCain to make substantial gains in enough states in just a few days to get an electoral win. He needs the perfect storm, and I just don't see all of the factors coming together.

Personally, I think we're looking at a big win, to the tune of 350 EV.

10. I'm not nervous. There are 2 possible outcomes. 1.we win. 2. they steal it and we march
on DC and take it back with force.

I think we'll win 85-90% certainty, but I'm ready and my torch and pitchforks are cleaned, oiled, and ready to go if need be.

No need to worry, I've got to work tomorrow and poll watch on Tuesday, then I party Tuesday night or pack my car for the final demonstration in DC if they should subvert the Constitution.

22. That's a powerful statement of resolve.
That's Gary Cooper in High Noon talk. Only this time, you're not alone. If they steal this one, there'll be instant netroots coordination and HELL to pay of a magnitude that will only serve to make the radical changes we need come a lot faster. That's all.

15. As I noted, I'm usually a mess by this time in the campaign.
I don't know why it's different this time, honestly. I think all of the signs are there that we're going to win this one and win it big, and I just don't buy into the possibility of a massive swing to McCain at the last minute.

20. Me either, just antsy to go and vote - no early voting here.
I feel kind of left out by that, but I'm sure Tuesday will be exciting enough to make up for it.

23. I feel that way one hour.
The next hour I feel freaked out and depressed, thinking maybe it'll be like 2004. Then the next hour I feel like it's going to be great.

Good Lord, I just want late Tuesday night to get here.
