What is the deal with MSNBC and this Mason-Dixon poll?
Every time I have flipped to this channel today, they have been flogging this particular poll. EVERY TIME. They are either talking about it or have the graphics up on screen or in the crawl at the bottom of the screen. Was their polling done in coordination with MSNBC like NBC and Wall Street Journal or the NYT/CBS? Does Mason-Dixon have some sort of exceptionally accurate polling history? Seriously, have they mentioned ANY of the 9,000 other polls coming out every half hour? What's the deal with this poll and MSNBC today?

2. Because its the one
that provides them with the drama they want. All you have to do is go to Real Clear Politics to see the real state of the race from a RW leaning, though pretty good, source.

This election is historic and the networks need a horse race. So they flog this poll hoping to attract more viewers on election night.

Let's face it....when it's obvious Obama will win, most people will change the channel, turn off the TV, or go to bed.

The only people that will continue to watch are political junkies.

3. The deal is -- they're trying to make us anxious, so it will up their ratings.
All the networks benefit from a real horse-race, as opposed to a potential landslide.

4. It is consistently favorable to the Republican candidate. They are trying to sell a close race.
I'm not buying it.

8. Well Im mad about it
They could be talking up the history getting ready to be made.

They could be looking forwards to speculate on the coming changes that should improve the life of the average american under the Obama tax plan.

They could be doing a lot of positive things to smooth over the coming ire the Republicans will be feeling after the election, but instead they want to fan the flames, keep the disunity as the primary motivator, add tension when theres no reason for it.

The MSM sucks ass.

9. just sayin'
some people, especially younger folks like myself, mite be complacent and stay home if they think them voting doesnt matter cause the result will be the same...

the media is doing it for their own ratings, but ultimately i think it benefits us more than republicans.
