So, about all of those 'undecided' voters
How many have you heard say something like this:

"I follow politics and neither of the candidates really appeals to me, because they just don't stand for what I believe in. But if I had to pick, I'd say that I'm leaning more toward McCain because blah blah blah blah blah..."

I swear that I've heard this script a hundred times this campaign season. The corporate media drags out some allegedly undecided voter and gives him an unchallenged mike, and then he goes on and on about how he'll probably vote McCain even though he's undecided. It's a shallow and wholly transparent form of pandering, because it makes McCain seem like the kind of straight-talking maverick who can scoop up all of those precious undecideds.

And then, right after that segment, they drag out some African American and ask why he's not voting for Obama.

I tell you, this Liberal Media of ours is quite an institution.

3. Either that, or they're lying
I said in 2000 and again in 2004 that it's not possible for someone to be sane and informed and still have voted for Bush. The same is true of 2008 re: McCain, sadly. And anyone who's undecided is equally suspect.

4. Either that, or they're third party voters
Be they Libertarian, Green, Constitution Party, or whatever.

5. That's not undecided, though
If they're third party voters, that's entirely legitimate. If they're third party voters and they claim to be undecided, then they're liars as described above.
