Why is Ralph Nader flooding CT with ads?
I've heard of a ton of Ralph Nader for president radio ads here in the Hartford, CT area this past week. But, what's the point? Obama is up 25 points or so here - is he trying to beat McCain? Or, is he trying to get enough votes to appear viable/not a joke?

I mean, just about every time the radio goes to commercial, I hear his ad.

I know WTIC AM 1080 has a strong signal (50,000 watts) - and can often be heard as far away as Maryland and into Canada - but, it's all blue territory.

1. He's from there.
He probably realizes he has no chance and just wants to bolster the numbers as much as possible in his home state.

2. There are better ways he could try to get attention to his message...
...than by running for president.

He could write another book and do a book tour.

He could try to get a job as a radio/TV host.

4. He's doing the same thing in CA too...
... I was listening to John Rothman on KGO for the last couple of nights, and Nader had several ads per hour throughout the night. Rothman was none to happy about them, either.
