The following Ltr to Ed is sked to be published in the San Antonio Express News soon:
IT MAKES SENSE TO ME
It makes perfect sense to me that it was Clinton's fault that GWB will be the first president since Hoover to actually lose jobs over a term of office; that it was Clinton's fault that GWB turned a huge surplus into a huge deficit over a term of office; that it was Clinton's fault that the invasion of Iraq cost $200 billion and was a "catastrophic success" (after all, it was Clinton's legacy military that was used) ; that it was Clinton's fault that Islamic radicals became a very dangerous world wide threat; and finally, that it was Clinton's fault that 9/11 happened. There seems to be a pattern here: everything that went wrong during GWB's term of office was Clinton's fault. It is even Clinton's fault that Osama Bin Ladin hasn't been captured. Everything that has happened in the last four years is Clinton's fault, except that there have been no terrorist attacks since 9/11. That isn't Clinton's fault. It's because of GWB's leadership developed protecting America in the Air National Guard.
Recent polls of public opinion seem to support GWB's position that his failures were Clinton's fault, but his one success, that is, no terrorist attacks since 9/11were his alone, and, without any "soft on defense" Democratic help.
It even makes perfect sense to me that the U.S. Navy correctly awarded medals to 250 or so SBVT guys, but incorrectly awarded medals to JK. After all, why should I suppose that the U.S. Navy knows who should get medals. They have only been doing it for a couple of hundred years. Maybe this was Clinton's fault too. Like I said, it all makes perfect sense to me, but then again I failed my college Logic course. But, of course, it wasn't my fault, it was the guy that preceded me.
