I am officially pissed at the church of LDS
I live in Mesa, AZ, and, while trick-or-treating with my kids, I went through different neighborhoords, including some streets mostly populated with LDS people.

I am tolerant and accept anybody's creed but I expect the tolerance to go both ways.

Yet, there was not one house on these streets which did not have not only a McCain/Palin sign (which I will accept), but also at least one "Yes on Prop 102" sign. Prop 102 is our Prop 8 over here. Some houses had no McCain/Palin sign but had their "Yes on Prop 102" sign. Some had two of these signs.

I am deeply disgusted at these people, who are free to live according to their own lifestyle and religious choices, but will deny these freedoms to others.

I am officially pissed at this church and its believers and am ready to harm their interest by refusing to do business with them in the future and cutting all ties with them.

They have angered me beyond belief and next time 2 missionaries show up at my house, I will call the elder of the ward and officially tell him to cease and disease or I would call the police and file a harassment report.

2. Yesterday on Santa Monica Blvd. outside the big LDS
temple in LA a guy was standing in the median with two big homemade signs. One said "No on Prop 8." The other said "Say "no" to the Mormons."

Religion has no place in politics. As my 85-year-old dad said yesterday, "Why is this even on the ballot? It doesn't affect me. Live and let live."

It's on the ballot to bring out the right wing base.

6. Same religion that said blacks didn't receive souls til the 1970's
If I remember correctly. Their president/prophet (whatever he is) got some revelation on the hotline from God that they finally had them installed.

I agree. No religion in politics is the only sane answer.

7. More people will slam their door at them now

I am truly pissed at these people.

I would accept if they did positive things without any after thought, and understand that churches would serve the poor a sermon and a mass before serving them food and offering them a bed, but there is something sick in this gay bashing attitude affected by the Mormons, who have issues playing a movie like Brokeback Mountain but no issues playing an ultra-violent sick movie like Hostel at the same time.

And now it's Zak and Miri. I have LDS neighbors on one side, and I intend to have a good relation with them, but one day or other the subject might come up and it will be the end of the good relation.

9. Your dad is a wise man, LibDemAlways!
I wish more people had his insight.

:)

The 'Yes on 8' crowd are a disgusting lot!
This shouldn't even be an issue!

Two consenting adults who want to marry
are within their rights to do so and it's

THEIR BUSINESS !!

I really hope we win this one for 'No on 8' tomorrow!

10. I'm all for the church of LSD.
It the only church I've ever been to where I've actually seen God in all His glory.
