Yahoo must be Republican scum. Two big headlines right now:
1) Breaking down the numbers. Barack Obama is polling ahead, but John McCain has a bigger chance than it first appears.

2) Polls: How McCain could overcome Obama's lead.

Actually they're both headlines for the same piece, but whatever. ENOUGH ALREADY! Let's VOTE VOTE VOTE, and WIN WIN WIN, and put an end to this bullshit speculation!

1. The next 24 hours will be full of stories like this
The media wants a race to appear close (bigger audience). Also, they want to hedge their bets. In the even the election doesn't go as predicted, they don't want egg on their faces.

2. Yahoo and AOL both.
They cater to repubs who aren't very interweb savvy. No offense to DU'ers who like AOL and Yahoo.

3. Yahoo! relies on AP (which is notoriously right-wing biased)
Comcast is awful too. I think that they rely mostly on Reuters which seems to put out a lot of garbage as well.

4. Gotta give this to Yahoo, though
They keep putting up their Poll Average which, as of 30 seconds ago, had Obama up 51.2 to 44.2 for McCain.
Sure McCain has a "chance." Most people haven't voted yet. It's a shame there's no early voting in PA. I'd love to know what the MSM would come up with if Obama had a massive early vote lead there.
