I wonder if Michelle knew the sad news about the grandmother earlier?
I heard Michelle speak and she sounded emotional then but I just thought maybe she was tired from the campaign.
Now I wonder if she already knew.

How incredibly sad for the whole family...

1. Probably...
When someone dies after a long bout with cancer, they generally aren't stable one day and gone the next. It's even possible she went into a coma a day or two ago with instructions not to keep her on life support.

When I heard Obama on his conference call to campaign workers Saturday night, he sounded very subdued and somewhat distracted. At the time, I figured it was just fatigue after a long day of campaigning. In retrospect, I wonder if he hadn't already received the news that she only had a day or two left.

6. I think the family must have had news that she was close.
Some of us noticed that Obama, last night and today, seemed "tired" or really.. weary. I attributed it to the last legs of the campaign, and fatigue. I think that the family was informed that she was close. Very sad for him. What a painful time for the campaign and family.

7. I believe she knew
They probably knew for some time before they released it tothe press. They also have to thinking about Dick Durbin and the passing of his daughter.

There have been a lot of deaths recently. So sad. :(
