Huffington Post slideshow: "Tears for Obama"
Between the election and the economy, Americans are a little emotional these days. Perhaps nowhere is this more evident than in the faces of Obama supporters at rallies. On the eve of the election, there's excitement, as evidenced in Friday's "O-Bama Faces" slideshow, and there's exhaustion. And sometimes there's just crying.

And now, with the death of Obama's grandmother Madelyn Dunham, emotions are running even higher for the Democratic candidate.

17. Those are time capsule photos...
...like JFK Jr. saluting his dad.

Some day, someone's going to look at that man in Times Square and know exactly what November 4, 2008 felt like.

18. Add me
to those pictures...

'cause I'm cryin' like a baby...

(I am very sad about Obama's grandmother. It is terrible to lose the one who held your hand when you were afraid. I know his grandmother did that for him.)

21. If there
was anything I could do to help, I would try. Even if I knew Obama, there never are the right words. I have lost both parents, all grandparents and my sister, she was my only sibling. All aunts, uncles dead too... The only one left besides my husband and two kids is my nephew. The only thing that helped me was knowing that I could talk to someone who was just "there."
Words can sometimes make it worse - there is always some ass who says "Well, it's a good thing she is gone, she was so miserable..." blah-dee-blah... STFU already. I miss her, just be my friend and get me a drink or something. :eyes:

Anyway... Obama has to draw strength from his family and friends - I hope someone lets him know how many of us feel for his loss. It really makes a difference to have the positive feelings.
