I'm Going to Steal a Sign Tonight.
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 07:52 PM by rucky
I was walking in the neighborhood this morning, and saw a yard with a McCain sign and an Obama sign. I thought to myself that it was interesting - maybe a split-vote family.

As I got closer, I saw some tape on the Obama sign, and closer, "N" was written on it. As in "NOBAMA" (clever, huh?)

Then I got to thinking, that yard sign cost the campaign at least 8 bucks, and they offer it free to supporters. So this clown pretty much stole a (free) sign from the campaign, and I'm pretty sure didn't contribute a penny.

So I'm stealing it tonight.

31. I Read The OP Just Fine. He's Stealing Someone's Sign. I Hope He Gets Caught.
It isn't up to us to dictate how someone does or doesn't use a campaign sign. I hope the OP gets caught and arrested.

34. Arrested?
Man, some people have no sense of humor, either.

Bush* gets away with murder and you hope a DUer who takes back a stolen sign gets more heat than *? Gawd...

4. No. Don't do it. That is the WRONG thing to do.
Instead, put Obama stickers on the backs of every street sign in a 2-block radius.

7. Im thinking of stealing one too

I live in a neighborhood with mixed politics, but I was dumbfounded to find a McCain/Adolfes sign on our neighborhood entry way, basically common property. I believe that sign needs to be removed.

You're doing him a favor. First, some vandal put tape all over his Obama sign. Then some other vandal came by and littered a McCain sign on his yard.

Thank you for doing these good deeds.

I don't blame you for wanting to take that particular sign. I just don't want you to get into trouble. Be careful if you do it. Then post a picture of your victory here! :D

15. I've had evil thoughts of making off with the gigantic McCain/Palin sign
set up across the street of the Methodist church, that every driver sees going through the village. I just wish I had the disposable income for a bigger Obama sign to block it.

Unfortunately, judging from the huge signs in the major traffic areas, this place seems very Republican-- and I'm in NY!

16. I saw one in my neighborhood that says
"Another Democrat for McCain"

I told my 11 yr-old son it meant "Another Racist for McCain" when he was confused by it. The RWers can have those people. We don't want them.

And hey, you just added a little bit to the typo.

20. Maybe I will sneak out in the dark of night and rip the McCain/MILF stickers
from my disgusting neighbor's old beater truck. If I get caught, I will just blame it on my husband being gone for so long to Iraq that I have now absolutely cracked. The MP's will let me go.

Taking back an Obama sign is like a hostage rescue.:patriot:

Leave the McCain sign though...And be careful...It might be booby-trapped.

35. No yard sign should cost the campaign $8.
the quantities they print them in, they shouldn't pay more than about $2, if that. Otherwise, they're getting ripped off.

And you get your yard signs for FREE? We have to pay for ours.
