Here's to the Hillary supporters I've seen
- sitting behind the food table at Obama HQ last night, serving the soup they made for the volunteers

- holding a fundraiser to pay for Obama lawn signs

- working the polls, wearing their Obama buttons

- making phone calls last night even though they are 80 years old

- talking up Obama among the other retired old white men at the local McDonald's

:patriot:

1. Thanks, Patiod!
Although my wife and I switched from Hillary to Barack by the end of April.

For us, ANY Democrat was going to get out whole hearted support over ANY rethuglican.

BTW, congrats on the PHILS! I'm up here in Maine for 6+ years, but I was a Philadelphian until I was 47.

PEACE!

2. Every one of those people were actual Hillary folks
That I know from our Dem Committee mtgs (well the McDonald's guy was my 84-yo dad)

Maine is so beautiful - saw if for the first time last month, when we stayed in Rockland for a week (the week there was a Nor'easter AND a hurricane) The people we met were all so nice - not just the tourist-area people, but the supermarket checkers, everybody - really sincerely friendly.

9. Mainers are great.
Good for your dad. My mom passed in July of 06 at 84. When she was a young girl, she was raised with some bigoted beliefs. All of that ended when she got a Puerto Rican daughtewr in law and an African American grandson (who she loved more than any other person in her life). even though she leaned rethug in her later life, I believed she'd have voted Obama for her grandson. Also because of bush being a moron.

PEACE (AND VICTORY)!

5. I voted for Hillary, but it's not about being a Hillary supporter anymore. Were ALL Obama supporters
Edited on Tue Nov-04-08 02:23 PM by Kerry2008
I've never felt this good about a ticket, and I didn't think anyone could top how I felt in 2004 about Kerry-Edwards.

Obama-Biden is the greatest ticket we've ever had.

EDIT: I voted for Hillary in the PRIMARY, just to clarify. I voted for Barack Obama this morning ;)

7. Hill made it clear in her speech
you vote for the policies, not the person.

8. These folks have come to be enthusiastic about the person
If not, they can REALLY fake it well!

I'm just impressed - these are folks who are simply voting Dem, but they're out there WORKING for Barack

12. It was a no-brainer for me to switch from Hil to Obama
How in the heck someone could have supported Hillary and now support McCain is beyond me.
