What is the turn out in southern NH? We heard it was low.
Up here in North Conway, we've been cranking all day. As of 4:30, over 3000 voters, over 350 newly registered voters. We haven't entered absentee votes yet. There are only just over 9000 people living here. Looks like we may hit 7000 voters today between new registers and absentees.

Anyone from southern NH, post what you know.

5. Hmmmm, seemed light in my rural district, @ 10:30AM but we were moved to a remote church location
Edited on Tue Nov-04-08 06:22 PM by HughMoran
I would expect light traffic @ 10:30 AM anyway. I drove by the high-school (Pinkerton) where 2 districts vote (used to be the whole town) and it was jamming @ 3:00 which seems early for heavy voting traffic after work. I inspired the Obama sign holders, but I can't tell you how as I think there are some right-wingers that want to kill me now

9. Thanks.
We got a call from a Carol Shea Porter supporter who told us the turn out sucked.

11. Let's hope the Republicans are demoralized
The Obama canvassers were out in force everywhere (no McCain to be seen). New Dem signs everywhere. Wavers. It was impressive in the middle of the day. The Obama canvassers came back late to see if I had voted, my Obama/Biden T-Shirt gave me away - lol.

13. We didn't even have republican representation at the polls as watchers
Some were ouside with signs, but not one republican inside. Very weird.

15. I was surprised too as Republicans are usually out in force in my (still) Republican town
I live in the core Republican area here in Derry, so I was surprised too.

8. Turnout in Nashua was strong
I voted in my ward at about 10:30 and there was no line but a steady flow, which is better than usual at that time of the morning.

12. PBS just ran a segment from NH
not sure where, though. Lines looked pretty long to me. They put numbers up on a board: McShame 6...Obama 15!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!

That's the kind of landslide I am desperate to see :bounce:
