7. It was in the news... charges brought it.
It's of course illegal but some VIPs were involved, as some of the girls filed harassment suits.

5. You can't own a beach in Hawai'i.
Besides, there is nothing in particular to own here:

http://www.hawaiiweb.com/oahu/beaches/hukilau_beach_park.htm

Services and Amenities

* No lifeguards
* No facilities
* No fresh water
* Sandy beach

I want to starve the Mormons of cash as much as anyone else, but I'm wondering how exactly a beach in Oahu can be an LDS business.

6. Probably the name of a hotel
A client I did some work for is a certain hotel chain starting with an "O" and their hotel names are just like that.

Named after the beach. It's pretty common on these islands.

9. Here's the answer
http://www.to-hawaii.com/oahu/beaches/hukilaubeachpark.php

The entire nearby town of Laie appears to be Mormon owned and operated, so chances are that if you visit the park you will spend money at a Mormon business.

10. The Mormon Church is a lot like the Mafia, IMHO.
Lots of fingers in lots of business pies. And lots of strongarm tactics and money laundering and tax evasion.

I heard when we lived in UT n the early 70s that the reason the head guy had a revelation that it was ok to consume Coca Cola (forbidden for decades) was the church had found it to be a rather lucrative investment. Pepsi, in which they had no investment, was still not ok to drink.

13. Mormon Stock Index (kind of old)
http://www.mormonstockindex.com/

Mormon Stock Index

The Mormon Stock Index tries to measure the stock market performance of companies run by Mormon executives. More than 50 companies have been part of the index in its two year history, including more than 30 companies on the index today. Companies are included as long as they have a Mormon executive on their management team, and as long as the company's public stock market capitalization exceeds $100 million.

They were in the hall with a table of crap. Two large guys in suits tried to buttonhole me on the way out to look at the literature.

16. Thanks for the good info.
Remind me to NEVER patronize any of the businesses you've listed above.

I just read an article over at Market Oracle, the author also mentioned that the Moron Church owns Amway, and I believe Primerica (both skams). The article is about pyramid schemes.

(sorry can't find link, but it was at
www.marketoracle.co.uk/

The Mormons are skammers, complete business frauds. They just use their tax-free status as a business freebie.

17. From what I understand they own about half of the gambling
in Nevada, a lot of it is in Las Vegas. Also, aren't they behind the Marriott hotel chain? Or, have they gotten out of those businesses.
