6. best part
was that I got to shave my "playoff" beard when I got home. That darn thing itched like crazy but it was staying until they declared Obama the winner.

19. Honey,.......those orbs aren't from smoke.
My daughters wedding pictures, taken indoors at a Congregational Church, had orbs, in appropriate places, and there was no smoke in that Church! All of the digitals were taken with the same camera, in different lighting, and only some had orbs. Like her walking down the aisle alone (her Dad had passed recently) with an Orb right next to her, and two huge orbs over she and her husband on the altar, with none over the Pastor in the middle. No my friend, I don't believe that these orbs were caused by smoke. Obama and his family were surrounded by a mighty Host of witnesses from the spiritual realm.

23. Great description, DC
I love seeing orbs in photos. They show up in highly charged emotional situations like this (and your daughter's wedding), as well as around children. They are guardians, indeed, and apparently they love to party with Obama supporters! :hi:

Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 07:28 PM by blue sky at night
they may have come from moisture in the air then, but I know it is from particles in the air.....you are kidding right!!!????

OF course I have only taken about 1 million photos in my lifetime, and probably 20k with a digital camera......

28. I think she meant the honey as a term of endearment...
I've seen orbs in 35mm photos too... it's nothing to do with digital.

It's never really been proven what causes the orbs, but many very spiritual (not to be confused with religious) people believe it's caused by spirits.

If you look at the last photo, and some of the others, same night, same camera, same weather, not one orb.

38. Sorry if my term of endearment offended you.
And no, I'm not kidding. If I choose to believe the orbs are special, I will. You can continue to refer to them as smoke or dew drops. That's your prerogative. What ever floats your boat. Oh and hey, I believe in UFO'S too! Not kidding, or crazy. I guess you don't like the term "honey". Anything else you prefer to be called??

26. That was my first thought too!
And I'm goosebumps head to toe! I felt so strongly this was the situation that I emailed the pic to my sister. If you notice the last picture, taken by the same camera, the same night, same weather conditions... not an orb in sight.

I have my grandmother's china cabinet in my living room, I routinely see orbs in photos of the cabinet, but nowhere else in the house.

I don't care if anyone calls me a kook either. :) That picture has more orbs than any picture I've ever seen. Amazing.

30. Hate to tell you and burst your "orbs" but....
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 08:57 PM by GoneOffShore
but orbs are a function of small digital and film cameras.

"Due to the size limitations of the modern compact and ultra-compact cameras, especially digital cameras, the distance between the lens and the built-in flash has decreased, thereby decreasing the angle of light reflection to the lens and increasing the likelihood of light reflection off normally sub-visible particles. Hence, the orb artifact is commonplace with small digital or film camera photographs.
The orb artifact can result from reflection of light off solid particles (e.g., dust, pollen), liquid particles (water droplets - especially rain) or other foreign material within the camera lens.
The image artifacts usually appear as either white or semi-transparent circles, though may also occur with whole or partial color spectrums, purple fringing or other chromatic aberration. With rain droplets, an image may capture light passing through the droplet creating a small rainbow effect."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_orbs

Any professional photographer will tell you the same.

Cool photos though. I'd have run them through Photoshop and gotten rid of the "artifacts". Spoils the shots in my opinion.

And when you try to recreate orbs, it doesn't really work out.

What's it to you what others want to believe anyway? You the thought police? Belief police? Hmmm?

9. Loudest part of the evening
was when they called Virginia. They called Virginia on CNN about 2 minutes before the polls closed in California, etc. Everyone knew what that meant. The place exploded and everyone started counting down the seconds until California closed.

33. Tell me about it! I was on the phone with my mom in VA.
She canvassed her ass off for him in a pretty red SW VA county. The minute VA was called, I phoned her from Grant Park and we were screaming, of course the crowd was going NUTS, and then the BIG call went out. So she got to experience that incredible, massive crowd joy "live" on the phone. I'm glad I got to share that with her.

25. Those are fantastic photos
I believe as well those are orbs in those photos. That is just so cool. All those orbs above all those supporters are just fantastic. I had a girlfriend who's son lives in Florida. They used to live in upstate NY. When my girlfriend took photos (35mil and digital) there were orbs all over her son. Both here in NY and in Florida. I really do believe they are there to protect him.

Thank you so much for those pictures. They were truly ones to save and show to the children of the future.
