Barbara Walters repeats "Clinton vandalism" lie on The View
Walter, in talking about how gracious and welcoming Bush was in inviting the Obamas to the White House before January 20th, repeated the story of the Clinton vandalism after the 2000 election. She spoke of the "thousands of dollars" in damages to the WH, the missing w's from the keyboards and of presidential seals being ripped from the walls. Sheri, to her credit, questioned the story, but Walters said it wasn't the Clintons but their staff that did all the damage.
Once again, that tired old lie gets trotted out to show how classless the Clintons were when they had to leave the WH.
Jesus, when will this story ever be totally discredited? If Walters can repeat this shit 8 years later as though it's the absolute truth then I fear this lie will become the truth for the history books.
Yeah, I emailed the show, but I don't expect an answer. I've done it a bunch and never hear a word from them.

:nuke:

5. Chris Wallace repeated this on Fox News yesterday as well -
should I give him any credit at all for saying "some things were true, and others weren't"?

Note: I don't normally conciously choose to watch Fox News; it was on at work when I was getting my ice from the machine yesterday!

11. Still propagating that story?
It was a lie like so many others.

More offensive was Karl Rove using Hillary's former office and proclaiming to have a cleansing done to clear away her "spirit". The damn asshole!!!

receive a better welcome to the White House than what he got. Ugh.
