More and more, I get the feeling that McCain said, "Ah... Fuck it." for the last couple of weeks
And phoned the rest of it in...

- Comparing his puny crowd sizes against the huge ones for Barack's

- All those Palin inspired face palms

- Having to protect his own side of the field

- Never really changing up his stump speeches

- The lack of real results from opposition research

- Getting repeatedly hosed at the debates

- Resorting to so many stunts

- Getting hammered hard by his buddy, Dave Letterman, of all peeps

- Joe the fucking Plumber? You can't be serious?

I have the feeling that after he left the stage for the last time, a huge weight fell from his shoulders

Not having to deal with the bullshit anymore.

1. I asked Mr. DTBK if he thought they threw this election
He didn't think so - he thinks McCain fought hard.

I almost, ALMOST felt sorry for the man - but then I remembered all his attacks on Barack, as well as those of that detestable wench Palin, and no longer suffer from one iota of sympathy for him.

2. There was no real innovation
He seemed as if he as going all by rote.

Like swimming hard against the tide to stay in the same place

3. He didn't but his staff did - kinda
Go to WHYY.org and click on Radio Times with Marty Moss Coane. Listen to the discussion between her, Neil Oxman and Chris Mottola - both big time media consultants for the Democrats and the Republicans respectively (and both Philadelphia locals). It's in the archive for 5 November. You will get an interesting insight into the world of consultants and their world view.

You probably have never heard of these two, but that's because they don't want to be heard of.
