Nixon worked hard at this... I can't say he fully succeeded but he tried...

24. A more sci-fi punishment.
Back in the 90's, there was a TV movie called White Dwarf, which took place on a tide-locked world with a Victorian-style colony on the world's day side, and a medieval-style kingdom on the night side.

Anyways, there were a couple people who committed heinous crimes, and the punishment was to serve prison sentences of 25,000 years. Oh, and the alien prison keeper would force some of his slime down their throats, which granted them immortality, so they had to serve their entire sentence. Countless centuries in a prison cell gets old reeeeeal fast...
