Now that President Obama has been elected he needs our help to implement his radical socialist wealth sharing agenda that takes money away from hard working Joe The Plumbers and gives it to lazy people.
I did my part last night. I brought a bottle of vodka to a party and shared it with some friends and some complete strangers. Clearly if they had all worked as hard as Joe the Plumber does, they would've been able to afford their own alcohol.
1. On the serious side ... I just talked to some local food bank directors ...
... need has gone up at local food banks anywhere between 15 and 30 percent in the past 6 to 9 months. A lot of that increase is in the working poor/middle class. And more than half of those needing food assistance have at least one working adult in the family, food bank folks tell me.
So, I'll be spreading the wealth by giving the food banks some of my money for the remainder of this year.
3. I've been sharing my shrinking fixed income with
health insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies for years now, all while Bush was President. Oh I forgot about the gas companies too, gas for my car and propane. Other than that there isn't a whole lot left to share.
4. I spent 50 bucks at the farmer's market this morning
and I told that peon selling me my seeded bread that DAMMIT, we were only patronizing his stall as part of Obama's wealth-sharing initiative. And that we very much enjoyed last week's bread, and we would be seeing him next week. :)
8. I bought a dog treadmill for my elderly dogs. It is because of reverse wealth
spreading. I got tired of their vet bills and now they walk their little dachshund butts off in the living room, not out in the snow. I love it.
