This is the BEST dog for the Obama's

Newfoundland....

A few allergy shots are worth it to get a very loving and cuddly companion.

Not to mention very mild tempered !

2. Amazing dogs and very affectionate
Sadly they don't seem to live too long - size I guess. A friend had one that colour, named Henry ,who delighted in pushing in just putting his paws on my shoulders and pushing me backwards over the back of armchair with the chair too. That meant he could run round and lick my face before I could get up...lol.

3. I'm a dog lover through & through and always gravitated to big
doggies... more to hug after all! The unfortunate side, though is there far shorter lifespans, but every day is a treasure with a great dog, after all.

Newfies are great... Mastiffs are likewise great big ole luggable, huggable reliable big doggies, with far less grooming needs.

I still hope they can find a rescue or a shelter pup, I must admit as it sends such a strong signal.

6. Not always a small dog
It depends on the poodle -- miniature or standard.

8. Not knocking newfies, but the best dog for the
Obamas (no apostrophe) is one they choose themselves.

10. The Obamas should adopt "Baby" the Three Legged Poodle
Here is a picture of Obama with "Baby," former puppy mill puppy, and now well-known known "anti-puppy mill" advocate.

My family adopted a shelter poodle who could be Baby's "four-legged twin." The Obamas would be hard pressed to find a smarter, more loving, dog than a miniature poodle.

11. I don't think the White House is big enough
those things are huge. My aunt used to raise them, she had 12 at one time. Needless to say, she had a very large house.
