Colorado: Kerry 46 Bush 45
Great news! That's according to a new Zogby poll (http://www.electoral-vote.com)

Also, new polls in Ohio and NC give us good news

NC: Bush 50 Kerry 46 (Great news)

Ohio: Bush 50, Kerry 47 - too bad we're not ahead, but this is still a good result, and shows that Kerry's still in play.

Both the NC and Ohio polls are from SUSA

2. Great news! I'm forcing everybody I know in CO to get out and vote.
Unfortunately, I currently live in Texas so my vote won't even count.

4. These Colorado polls are very interesting.
I wouldn't have figured Colorado to be such a good pickup opportunity, but all the polls from there the last few weeks suggest that it is.

I don't know what to make of that, given the mixed results from other states.

Head to the ground. GOTV. GOTV. GOTV.

6. Woohoo!
There happen to be a couple of hundred absentee Colorado voters in Halifax--my wife and me included--who are overwhelmingly Dem and almost all registered. It'll be sweet if we help push this one into the blue!

Great...

I'll pay more attention to the fact that Kerry has suspended advertising in Colorado until October.

The other two polls look like good news.

8. Just got this from Mary Beth Cahill Re: Colorado
Your state is one of the battleground states that will decide this election. George Bush and Dick Cheney are spending a lot of time in CO, and the Bush-Cheney campaign is pouring millions of dollars into misleading attack ads.

The cavalry is coming.

To win, we will build the biggest volunteer-driven grassroots effort your state has ever seen. Many of you have already asked what more you can do to help. The Democratic Party in your state is hosting organizing conventions to recruit and train the volunteer leaders who will make the phone calls and knock on doors. And we would like to extend a special invitation to you.

These organizing conventions are three-to-six hour long meetings for people who want to work at least an hour or two every day between now and Election Day. If you aren't able to make this type of commitment, please volunteer for phone banks and canvassing by clicking the link towards the bottom of this e-mail.

If you would like to come to an organizing convention, sign up here:

http://volunteer.johnkerry.com

At your organizing convention, the Kerry-Edwards CO Democratic Party coordinated campaign will lay out the plan to win and will give you the training you need to be an effective volunteer for John Kerry and John Edwards and other Democrats. The coordinated campaign will also be signing people up for specific shifts to work over the next couple of weeks.

If you can't attend your local organizing convention or you can't make that big of a time commitment, you can still sign up for volunteer shifts for phone calling, door knocking or office work:

http://johnkerry.com/VolunteerNow

After you sign up, an organizer will contact you to confirm times and locations.
