If terrorists attack
would a President Dean go to the Internet and poll his supporters for a proper response?

1. I'll bet I know what he wouldn't do.
Hide in bomb shelters, strip the rights of americans, give a tax break to the wealthy, and then bomb a country that had nothing to do with it.

I like the idea of Dean listening to the will of the people...instead of arresting them for coming within 500 feet of you.

3. Better his supporters than Corporations.
Dean supporters are salt-of-the-earth Americans...he would do well to listen to them.

5. Any President should listen to the people.
That's a democracy. Doing things against the will of the people, like invading Iraq, is a dictatorship.

9. You know what......
I lurked here a year and then decided I might have something of substance to add, or so I liked to think at the time. So, I signed up, got my password and still lurked for several weeks.
I was blown away by the stuff I was reading, carefully researched threads with cleverly written text and I spent another couple of weeks feeling "I'm not worthy". So, I waited awhile longer, you see, I had alot of respect for the so called "old timers" and I deferred to their posts with one liners like, "Well said" or "eloquently written, thanks for your post". I hung out in the lounge alot and took my time getting a feel for the place, familiarizing myself with all the forums and studying the decorum and lay of the land biding my time.
I remember the first time I got up the nerve to post my first topic in GD. I spent an hour on it thinking I had created a literary masterpiece, it got one reply. A very nice poster that gave me a pity post no doubt. Oh, how I long for the good old days at du.
