For those who are freaking out about Lieber*, something to consider...
Lieberman is a close ally and friend of John McCain, who Obama sees as a means to an end.

What reaction (and we know he is reactive) would McCain have if Lieberman, presumably with Obama's blessing, were punished for supporting McCain's campaign and-yes- regurgitating the McCain campaign rhetoric despite his promise?

Lieberman knew what the consequences could be. McCain understood it too.

Lieberman should be stripped of all his chairmanships. I know Obama is trying bring everyone back together again, and that's admirable. But rescuing Lieberman is going too far.

but I'm resigned to the inevitable. LIEberman will keep his Homeland Security chairmanship because the Seante protects its own.

5. Ha, I think it's a strong possibility that Lieberman backed McCain because his Senate job wasn't
safe to begin with! there was a recent poll, showing like 48% of voters want him gone...a research 2000 poll.
