Has GW released his DD214? If not,
Edited on Fri Sep-10-04 11:43 PM by Dac_76
does anyone know if American Legion is required to keep a copy on file of the DD214 of its members? If so, wouldn't the Legion Bush was a member of in Houston have a copy?

(On edit, changed VFW to American Legion)

1. Bush DD214
It's possible that the National Guard doesn't issue DD214's. Those guys aren't veterans unless they've served on active duty. I don't know how Bush could have qualified for the VFW, since he is not a veteran nor did he serve in a foreign war.

3. Found a reference to Sep 2004 issue "American Legion"
page 32-says that Bush is a member of American Legion Post 77, Texas.

Does the American Legion require DD214's to certify their members or do they accept anyone off the street?

(I meant Legion instead of VFW)

5. It's called an NG-22
Basically the equivalent of a DD-214, and yes, he released it.
