Max Cleland smacks Bush as being a failure
<On the eve of the Sept. 11 anniversary, Cleland told a partisan crowd that Bush has "not been a first responder. He's been a failed responder" from his Vietnam-era, stateside military service to his current domestic and foreign policies as president.

"George Bush did not respond first to going to Vietnam," said Cleland, a triple-amputee from his wounds in Vietnam. "He failed to respond and got out the best way he knew how, which was his political cronies in Texas."

Asked about newly released memos critical of Bush's service in the Texas Air National Guard, Cleland said, "It's just further evidence, really, that George Bush failed this country when it was his time to serve -- and he hid out."

"John Kerry's record is clear," Cleland said. "But it's not about the past. It really is about what's happening to our country now. ... We're in deep trouble. We're digging ourselves a hole and the majority of Americans know we need to change course."

"I am proud to be supporting a man, John Kerry, who when given the word that this country was under attack would have not spent seven minutes reading 'My Pet Goat."' >

3. Has vietnam been a winner for us in this campaign so far?
Or a loser?

Why can't we talk about the economy?

6. We Win- Kerry Volunteered- Bush Dodged- Very Simple If
You reduce it to what really matters. There is plenty of talk about the economy- I hear it all the time- Listen to what Kerry and Edwards are saying.

9. Kerry does talk about the economy. So does Max and others.
Are you listening?

Max's statement goes to Bush's character flaws that are part of every decision he makes that benefit only the wealthiest.

10. In order to see what a man will do in the future...
You have but to look at what he did in the past.

12. Ask camp *. They're the ones who decided to smear a decorated war hero.
It's their MO and we're fighting back on their level. That's how you handle junkyard bullies. Besides, Kerry is talking about the economy. I don't think he's mentioned AWOL's Vietnam record much, if at all. He's been focusing on the economy and Iraqmire.

5. Well, y'all...
Bush IS a failure.
Today = no more to Bush than photo ops for the worst resident of the White House who ever lied his way into the office.

7. God, I love it!
"My Pet Goat" should be the next big buzzphrase in this campaign.. even if Kerry doesn't have anything to do with it. Let it be Michael Moore, or an ACT TV commercial, or just a really large protest with a few ten thousand chanting the book title..

Those seven minutes could cost the Chimp his election.. if we're wise enough to use them..

8. Max finally "got it" after the Pugs smeared him.
He's now a Democrat on a mission! No more mister nice guy, we have to be positive and say only nice things.

The Democrats will win big if they follow his lead.
