5. They take it off for "Special Programming" they're doing on another channel.
I don't know the physics involved, but I suspect it has to do with bandwidth availability on the satellites. I have written (and didn't get a response) and complained that they seem to take off "Radio Left" but every time I check "Radio Right" is still on the air. It's especially annoying since they only have ONE progressive station and several with RW idiots, including Fox.
It also happens every weekend during football season. Shoot them an email.
7. They don't use channel 167 for the "Special Programming", it's elsewhere.
They need the equipment for the other programming. Why, I hear you asking, if you can hear the announcement over and over, can't they just put on the programming?
