Most of the people where I work, including senior management are openly Republican. One other guy and I are openly Democratic. There are a couple of independents.
I have had a lot of luck talking about Bush's flip flops and his seven minutes of just sitting there when informed of the second WTC plane. What seems to work the best is to cap it off with "There is a huge double standard here. Bush gets away with everything. If Kerry had done this, his candidacy would be over. How come it is OK for Bush?"
That gets people thinking.
Then, for pro-lifers, I ask "You're not a one-issue voter are you?" That gets them. They don't want to be one-issue voters. The thing is, Bush doesn't have anything in the bag besides that one issue for pro-lifers. And a lot of these people really are one-issue voters at heart. But once they start think about it, they start to wonder if that's a good thing.
Any other good "meta" talking points I could be using? I'm always trying to hone my stuff.
